What are the best channels to promote your blog or business?
It’s 2018 and there are more channels to talk to and connect with your customers than ever before.
Between newsletters, podcasts, social media, face-to-face events, collaborations, public relations, media relations (all the tions!), Google hangouts, and so much more it can be overwhelming to know where your business should be and how you can connect with your customers.
In a world overrun by grams, posts, highlights and stories there are only two things you need to know to ensure you’re promoting your business and connecting with your customers.
-
Do what is authentic to you and your business.
YouTube is the second largest search engine behind Google. 1,300,000,000 people use it. 300 hours of video is uploaded every minute. Eight out of 10 18-49 year old watch it. But if you hate being on camera, don’t bother with it. Why force yourself to make content that you’re not passionate about? Wasn’t that the point of starting your own business? To be passionate about every aspect.
Of course that’s not cart blanch to not try new things. Maybe your hatred of talking to camera is actually a story you tell yourself and a narrative you’re stuck in. Life is short, try everything a couple of times to see if it fits, but if it’s really not for you, move on.
